Big News from CIWMB's CalMAX Program!

Do you like waiting? Neither do we! So to make the Board's California Materials Exchange (CalMAX) more responsive to its customers' needs, we are happy to announce the launch of the "new" CalMAX, which includes improved search capabilities, automated ad management, and other new or improved features. Read an overview of all the new CalMAX features and learn how to use the new CalMAX!

Important Note--One thing hasn't changed: CalMAX is still a FREE, online materials exchange service designed to help businesses, organizations, local governments, industry, schools, and individuals find markets for nonhazardous materials that may otherwise be discarded.

CalMAX--It's always been great. Now it just got a little easier and a lot faster!

CalMAX...a simple idea. "One business's trash is another business's treasure." Businesses, schools, and nonprofits can utilize CalMAX to search for available and wanted materials.

CalMAX conserves energy, resources, and landfill space by helping businesses and organizations find alternatives to the disposal of valuable materials or wastes through waste exchange.

CalMAX supports educators by offering free materials that support the implementation of curriculum instruction or art projects! Businesses are encouraged to support their local schools by listing any free overruns, overstock items, and reusable materials on CalMAX.

CalMAX supports CIWMB's Reuse Assistance Grant Program. Funding for creative reuse programs is available through the Board's Reuse Assistance Grant Program.
